Wonderful!!5
I am an avid home chef & treasure high-quality cookware. These are great! They are thinner (but harder) than many brands, which I truly love. Lower heat settings can be used for comparable results in other cookware, which saves energy, money, & severity of burns if the user is accident prone.
Some things to know:
1. These pans are designed to be hung on a rack. Hanging does save your cookware from a lot of those small injuries caused to them by stacking.
2. The Quantanium non-stick finish is like Teflon on steroids! I use about 1/4 the oil/butter I normally used in the older versions of Teflon. As mentioned above, a lower heat setting is also necessary. These are very easy to clean (except the stainless steel "buttons" where the handles are attached - everything sticks well there).
3. Although they say "Metal Utensil Safe", DON'T! Save the metal utensils for your cast iron & stoneware.
4. Non-stick cooking spray tends to eat finish on pans. Preserve them by washing well with soap & water as soon as they are cool. TIP: NEVER, EVER put a sizzling hot pan in water or dump cool water into it! This causes warping that basically ruins the pan. Move the pan to an unused burner & let it cool naturally before washing.
5. With the small steamer insert, never fill the pan over one inch above the bottom of the insert. With the stockpot insert, 2 inches. This can be pushed to nearly 3, but the mess from overfilling is big.
6. Enjoy & care for these pans! You won't ever have to buy replacements for them as long as you don't abuse them.
Easy clean up, great price!5
I never write reviews, but this one is worth it! Cleanup is a snap, even baked on cheese. Normally I dread cleaning pans and just toss them in the dishwasher. I did abide by the instructions and washed them by hand. Egg, grease, baked on cheese, you name it. A little hot water and soap under the faucet does the trick.
I'm tossing my other pans.
Great Buy5
These pots and pans are great! We love them and use them everyday. You don't need any type of cooking spray at all in them. You can not put them in the dishwasher, but for a few extra minutes of cleaning up, it is really worth it. I would buy from this line again.

medium weight, good for the price3
I paid $49 for this set on a Friday sale, and at that price it's a good deal. While the pans are not as heavy and durable as Circulon Commercial, they are comfortable to use, they cook evenly, and they clean up easily. The lids are excellent. The two large lids are interchangeable and fit the 10" skillet as well as the stockpot and saute pan. (Unlike a prior reviewer, I had no difficulty peeling off the stickers.)
Great for the Non-Stick Fan5
If you are a non stick cookware fan this is a great set! I too had no trouble with stickers. The red color is nice, the non stick surface works great, the pans are heavy weight, padded handles are a super nice feature and the lids are heavy. Coming from a 10 year old T-fal set these are a serious upgrade. And my Friday sale price was 59.99, worth every penny!
Cuisinart 10 Piece Cookware Set Rocks!5
I bought this set because it was a good price. I did not think that I was going to be the happiest with the "red" color, but as it turns out, it is a deeper, richer color than the picture portrays. The pans feel nice and heavy (not as heavy as a much more expensive set) but very nice for the price I paid. The non-stick surface is just that - non-stick and easy to clean. The bottom of the pans is the part I like - there are no "hot spots" to burn my food as I am cooking. I do have a husband and teenaged son who are hard on things but so far these pans are standing up to their abuse. For the price, I would definitely recommend these.

BEST COOKWARE EVER!!!5
I received this product after about 4 years of using Target's T-fal product. I immediately noticed a difference in my food, the way it cooked and tasted. The soft grip handles are a dream. It was definitely the best deal out there. I have used my dad's Calphalon before and this is far better. A definite must.
Anolon = Fabulous Cookware5
I love Anolon! This set was purchased to replace my previous Anolon set...after 13 years of everyday use! The coating on my original pans started flaking this spring...so of course I bought Anolon. This time I added the 12" griddle pan. My little girl loves BIG pancakes and this pan is perfect.
The only negative aspect was that 2 weeks after I received them the price dropped by $100. Plus there was an additional $25 discount if you spent at least $150, which I did. After contacting Amazon I did get an immediate $100 refund, but I forgot to ask about the other $25. Oh well, at least I did get them for the lesser price. Just keep an eye!
By all means I would highly recommend Anolon to anyone looking for excellent, heavy duty, long wearing cookware. If you need new pots & pans buy a set of Anolon Advanced or Anolon Classic. Amazing!
Best cookware for chefs of any level!5
Anolon Advanced cookware is excellent for all cooking needs - it is heavy so it sits on the stove top securely, the surface works very well as a non-stick surface, the glass lids allow you to see the food AND they have a rubberized handle that is easy to grip, and the handles of all the pots and pans do not get too hot and are comfortable to grip or carry. These pots and pans are sure to last longer than most other brands even for the aspiring or even professional chef!

Amazon.com Review
A satiny sheen and touches of color give Rachel Ray's 10-piece stainless-steel cookware set a stylish look that's also functional and durable. Included in the grouping are an 8-quart covered stockpot, 1-1/2- and 3-quart covered saucepans, 8- and 10-inch open skillets, and a 10-inch covered sauté pan. Stainless steel is a popular all-around cooking material because it heats quickly and evenly, while the aluminum-capped bases add energy efficiency and excellent heat retention. Plus, the metal doesn't react to acidic foods, resists corrosion and scratches, and cleans easily with just a sponge.
The cookware set also features high-arching handles covered in grippy orange silicone that stay cool on the range and are oven-safe to 400 degrees F. Riveted on for strength, they won't warp, bend, or break no matter how heavy the load or how often used. Glass lids also keep the chef informed on what's happening inside the pots without letting heat, nutrients, or flavor escape. A nice starter set that's both versatile and inclusive, this collection is perfect for a new homeowner or as a smartly polished upgrade to a worn, gathered-over-the-years menagerie. It's backed by a lifetime limited warranty. --Kara Karll

Great set, just needs a big pan to complete it!4
I just received this set for Christmas and I love it! I too was nervous about switching from non-stick, but it hasn't been too bad. Just make sure you spray with non-stick before making hashbrowns!! LOL The set is beautiful and functional. LOVELOVELOVE the glass lids and grippy handles. The only thing it needs is a larger pan as the two provided are fairly small. I went ahead and bought Rachael Ray 5 Quart Hard Anodized Orange Oval Saute Pan with Helper Handle to complete the set.
So far, So good!5
Nice set for the price. I'm switching over from "non-stick" so I was a little hesitant about sticking & clean-up. But, it hasn't been bad at all. I did have to look up how to get the white spots out of the skillet (water & vinegar). I just wish there were larger pieces that matched this set!
Great pan set and good price5
I love this pan set! I wasn't sure if I would like cooking on stainless since I've only ever owned non-stick. The stainless pans are a little harder to clean, but they cook so much better than my old pans which didn't have the metal plate on the bottom. These pans are great to use on my ceramic cooktop which cycles on and off to maintain temperature. They really keep the pan temperature steady.

Excellent, Affordable Cookware!5
I have the blue set. This cookware is very affordable for what you get and so nice to use. I love the rubber handles that are angled upward and the see-through lids. My only complaint is that this set is not dishwasher safe. If you run these through the dishwasher, the color will fade. I have not done this because the paperwork included said not to do so, but I have heard complaints of the color fading after cleaning in a dishwasher. This is an excellent beginner cookware set!
Outstanding Quality5
I purchased the Rachael Ray 10-Piece Porcelain Enamel Coodware Set in Blue at the end of December 2007. The handles are securely attached. The pans are just the right weight....not too heavy and not too light. The stay cool handles are terrific. The non-stick surface is awesome...the food slides right off. The see-through lids are great so you can keep an eye on whats cooking. It has the look and feel of expensive cookware but is very reasonably priced. The only thing that I didnt know before I purchased this item was that it is not recomended to cook on high with a glass top stove. I guess the enamel can fuse to the cook top. I have a glass top stove and at first I was concerned. I cook with this cookware set on Medium High instead of high. I have not had a problem at all. In fact, I used to burn meals in my old cookware but now that I dont use high heat to cook with I have not burned a single meal! If you are looking for great cookware with outstanding quality then I highly recomend the Rachael Ray 10-Piece Porcelain Enamel Cookware Set.

Farberware Enhanced 10 Piece Cookware5
I am so pleased with the product. I have been a Farberware user for 40 years and my new set is even better than I had expected, and I expected a lot. It is sturdy, easy to clean, heats evenly and is attractive. The price was very fair.
Farberware Enhanced 10-Piece Nonstick Cookware5
I've been very happy with this set, especially the silicone handles as they really do stay cool. They're a huge step up from what we've been using (about 15 year old cheap and rather heavy cookware - hooray for the student life). The only thing I might say is that they are quite easily scratched with metal utensils, probably a no-brainer I know but it was a little easier than I was expecting. Overall I love them though. They are made of aluminum so they are light and cook evenly, and the handles won't burn you.
Great Pans5
I purchased this Farberware set of pans as a gift for my daughter. The quality is excellent and I believe they will last for a long time. I liked them so much, I may actually buy the same set for myself.

Nice set - great price5
I finally decided after many years that it was time to treat myself to a new set of decent cookware - following the purchase of a new stove with a glass/ceramic cooking surface. The manual recommended aluminum clad with straight sides and flat bottoms. When I researched the best in this category (not including the very expensive dual clad), Cuisinart Chef's came up time and time again. I googled for the best price and found it at Amazon - actually an amazing price that no one else came close to for a 17 pc set. I have used the cookware a few times and already am very pleased. Although they seem to heat up slowly, they cook beautifully and clean up easily. I was a bit concerned that the instructions recommend that you do not use anything abrasive to scrub the cookware (like brillo etc) but I didn't need to worry - cleaning with a sponge has worked very well, and on occasion I also use some Cameo cleanser for water spots - cleans up like new. I expect this to be the last set of cookware I will ever need to buy.
Stumpted the Chef5
I just love this set. I bought it because I wanted something that would last a long, long time, be good to cook with, and look beautiful. I went to different stores, picking up saute pans until I found the one that balanced nicely - and it was a Cuisinart! I waited until it was on sale, and I bought it. I was thrilled when it arrived.
The tops fit snuggly on the pots and pans. It's so nice to have a top for every pot, and not have to share tops. I like this set because I always have the right tool for the job. Now, sometimes, one of my Cuisinart tops does double duty and tops one of my cast iron skillets. They do just fine, even with the old stuff.
Be good to your cookware and it will be good to you. A little Bar Keeper's Helper (why didn't someone tell me about this fantastic product sooner!?) - takes care of any tough problems (like when I burned a sausage in a saute pan - wasn't paying attention).
My friend, who is a professional chef, came by and was trying to boil something at the edge of the pan, and was stymied because the pan heats so evenly he could not get a hot spot, even though he wanted one. I told him to try the old Farberware I still have (I keep one piece just for that reason).
This set is a true work horse - just because it's pretty doesn't mean it can't work hard - and it does.
I enjoy cooking again!5
I ordered this set of cookware a couple of weeks ago and I absolutely love it. I had a set of Revere cookware but recently moved into a house with a glass top stove. My revere cookware rocked and spun on the burners - it was not completely flat on the bottom. The Cuisinart cookware stays put! Everything cooks perfectly in it. If you use it properly (i.e. do not use too high heat), it is virtually non-stick with just a spray of Pam or a little olive oil. I had the Revere cookware ever since I got married (23 yrs. ago) and always liked it. I hated to part with it. However, I am glad I had to get new cookware because I love the Cuisinart.

Quality Cookware at an Excellent Price4
I purchased this set about six weeks ago am very pleased with it to date. I enjoy cooking and cook most meals "from scratch," rarely relying on anything pre-packaged for a meal, so these pots and pans get a workout on a daily basis. Since purchasing them I've cooked dishes from oatmeal to pork tenderloin, squash soup to rice pilaf.
The set is good looking, the lids fit perfectly, the pot handles are comfortable to grip even with a full pot (much better than my one Calphalon pan). In my kitchen, if it isn't dishwasher safe, it is evicted, and these pots and pans do just fine in the dishwasher, unlike the aforementioned Calphalon. The pans are satisfyingly weighty, yet well balanced and the long pot handles stay cool to the touch (unless they are too close to another burner or the oven vent). The lid handles do get hot, but I always have a potholder handy.
Cooking: I find the cookware is very responsive to my gas range; the pans conduct heat very efficiently and it is essential when using these pans to keep that in mind. I recommend starting with a lower temperature than you think you need and increasing the heat if necessary until you become accustomed to the way the pans respond to heat. The pans heat very evenly, I've successfully melted chocolate with no burning on the lowest heat setting, and rice cooks perfectly at a low simmer with the lid firmly in place. I prefer these over non-stick pans when sautéing, these pans allow good browning which leaves yummy bits behind for deglazing into a sauce; these pans perform well in that capacity. The rolled rims mean liquids pour driplessly from the pan, a feature I find extremely valuable. The entire set is oven safe and I find that also an excellent feature. You can quickly sear a pork tenderloin and then pop the skillet right in the oven to roast it to perfection. One less dish to clean, all the cooked-on bits in one pan to deglaze.
Cleaning: I have not had any problems with cleaning the pans after use. Following the manufacturers recommendation, I add a little water to the warm pan and leave it to soak in the sink during dinner. Then the pan is loaded in the dishwasher with the rest of the dishes. Occasionally food may stick around the rivets, but the dishwasher usually takes care of that with ease. The manufacturer suggests avoiding citrus dishwashing products so I do. The mirror like finish is beautiful, but this is actually my least favorite feature of the set. Fingerprints and water spots show up readily. This in no way interferes with the cooking value of the set, but if you are concerned with the way the set looks, this is a flaw. If you must have it, a quick wipe with Barkeepers Friend or Cameo polish will restore the mirror finish.
The set includes a 1-1/2- & 3-quart saucepan, 8-quart stockpot, and 10-inch skillet. Lids for the saucepans and stockpot are included. I received the bonus 2-quart sautee pan with my set which has proved very useful. I would have preferred a 12 inch skillet to the 10 inch but even so I find the set an excellent value. I saw no need of an 8 inch skillet which is why I chose this set instead of the 10 piece set. I hope Cuisinart will be adding to the open stock available in this line. I have the 16-quart stockpot with steamer basket and pasta insert, but would love to find a pasta insert and steamer for the 8 quart stock-pot.
I think this set is an excellent value, and will satisfy me for years to come treated with a bit of care. I am replacing a set of Copper-bottomed Revere Ware my mother received as a wedding gift in 1950 (and used daily until she gave them to me 20 years ago), and I am hoping these will last as long, if not longer.
Solid construction and design5
Any shopper who is name conscious should stop for a moment and seriously consider this seven piece set. Cuisinart, a mainstay in the kitchen offers the cook in the household this wonderful 7 piece cookware set and Amazon.com offers it at an exceptional price.
The set features 18-10 Stainless Steel construction that makes each piece feel substantial. The design also aids in convection and, thus, requires less heat from the stove top but that Heat is not transferred to the handle making the handle cool to the touch.
Each piece features a high shine and bears the brand name on the side. Each piece is also rated up to 550 degrees which means it could double as bakeware.
The only thing I would have liked would have been a 12 inch rather than a 10 inch skillet but with that said, the 10 inch skillet is a great piece.
Great buy for the money5
If you are looking for the quality of All-Clad or Calphalon but not necessarily willing to fork over the dough, then this is a great set for the money. Fast, even heating; good looks; versatility (stove to oven to even freezer, if need be...); and a decent combination of pieces in the set made it the perfect choice for me, after nearly a year of research.
I don't find it as difficult to clean as other reviewers have commented. I will say that the mirror finish does show wear after just a few uses. It's not bad, by any means, but just know they won't stay perfect if you plan to use them. A few notes...
*They heat up fast! Don't ever leave the pan to heat up and do something else while waiting. You'll be at the temp you need lickety split.
*It's a good idea to soak them a bit after cooking something sticky--then cleanup is a breeze.
*Lid handles do get hot when covering to allow something to simmer or boil, but I've found my handles stay cool enough to take off the stove with no problem.
*I have yet to stick them in the dishwasher, but I know you can, so that's a plus. I have a tendency to soak them, wash them, and dry them right away so as not to get the water spots on the pretty finish that others have commented on.
All in all, I'm very happy with this set. After years of hand-me-downs with handles falling off, dented sides, and nonstick coating that wears off in no time, I feel safe and healthy cooking with my new Cuisinart.

KitchenAid Reserved 12-Piece Nonstick Hard Base Cookware Set, Red
Product Description
This cookware set is an exceptional value! Made of heavy gauge aluminum, it has excellent heat conductivity for fast and even heat distribution. The Hard-Base Ceramic nonstick is extremely durable and makes cleaning a breeze. The nonstick surface allows less fat and oil to be used for healthier cooking and a tough porcelain enamel exterior protects the exterior from stains. The set includes all of the pans needed to equip your kitchen with the most used cooking pieces. As the set contains only basic pieces, you'll really use each and every pan. It includes saucepans for whisking a homemade sauce or cooking your morning oatmeal, a big stockpot for soups, stews or boiling pasta, and skillets (probably the most used pan in any kitchen) that will help you turn out perfect omelets or a simple grilled cheese sandwich. The set also includes a covered sauté pan, a wide, straight-sided pan that can perform many of the functions of a skillet but features deep sides for extra capacity, perfect for one dish meals. Start your dish in this pan by sautéing onions and browning meat, and then add your liquid and other ingredients into the same pan to finish on the stovetop or in the oven. The 2-quart straining saucepan allows you to pour liquids off your food by aligning the holes with the pan's pouring spout. Turn the lid again, and the holes are covered locking steam in the pan for moist cooking. It includes 1.5 Quart covered saucepan, 3 Quart covered saucepan, 8 Quart covered stockpot, 10-Inch 3-Quart Covered sauté with helper handler, 8-inch skillet, 10-inch skillet, 2 Quart Straining saucepan with spouts

great cookware at an amazing price...5
Got these on a 1 day sale for under 80 beans. They are amazing. They are durable, balanced, and heat food very evenly. I like that you can bake/broil with them as they are rated to temps over 500 degrees. Very nice!!!
Wonderful !!5
I finally replaced my old cookware with this KitchenAid set...............I love it !! I am so happy I "gave in" and bought this new cookware. I wash them by hand, even though they say they're dishwasher safe. They are soooo easy to clean !! I also use only wooden or plastic/silicone utensils on them to protect them. They cook evenly and the red is a really pretty shade. Again, I am so happy I finally replaced my old pans, but most of all that I replaced them with this KitchenAid set. There are more expensive sets, but these are made well and durable, so why spend alot of money ?? These are priced right and I believe they'll last a loooooooooong time !! I am having fun cooking again !!
WOW! BEAUTIFUL COOKWARE5
I absolutely love these. Very sturdy and love that the handle on the pots stays cooler does not get as hot as the pots. Can alos use in oven. Looks like they will last for 20 or more years. Best purchase I every made. Highly reccommend.

great starter5
I found this set to be the best buy for getting the basics. The non-stick pans are great for sautéing and eggs come out unbelievable. There is a good variety in this set. The handles have a sturdy construction and are always cool to the touch. Having glass lids is also helpful to watch food without loosing heat while cooking. I cook a lot and buy many different types of cookware depending on what I'm making, so this set is a good base to start with and build on.
good quality cookware5
I found this to be of excellent quality. The glass lids have been helpful to this novice cook. And they are an attractive addition to any kitchen.
Great Cookware Set 5
This is a terrific set of cookware and contains all the pieces needed for someone starting a new kitchen. The cookware is very sturdy and the nonstick surface is so easy to clean. I like this set better than my $600+ set of Calphalon. I highly recommend this set.

Great Set for the Money5
I shopped around quite a bit before finally settling on this set and I am very pleased with my purchase. I don't understand a lot of the complaints.
The fact that the set is a bit heavy is a plus in my book, not a minus. I would have been greatly disappointed if they would have been light and flimsy. I checked out a few different good sets at bed, bath and beyond before buying on-line, and I didn't think any of the big name brand hard adonized sets were any lighter than these.
One of the big selling points for me for this set is the fact that they are oven safe to 500 degrees. I have a few recipes I use all the time that start out on the stove and then move into a 375 or 400 oven, or finish under the broiler and this set can take that. Some of the others I compared have handles that won't take that kind of heat. Despite the metal handles, I am very happy that they don't get hot on the stove.
I don't put my pots and pans in the dishwasher because my family of five fills up the dishwasher too quickly, so handwashing is no problem for me either. They wash so easily anyway, and I have never had a problem with food sticking to the rivets where the handle handles attach.
I bought this set at a very discounted price here at Amazon and am thrilled with the purchase. Cooking is so much more enjoyable with great tools.
I haven't had mine as long as some of the others here, but so far they are holding up just fine. I use them every day, and if they do end up looking a bit worn any time soon, I will still be satisfied that I got more than my money's worth.

A Dose of Reality4
I want to add a dose of realism to the many positive reviews here. We've had this cookware set for about 5 months. It comes packaged very nicely, seems well made and looks very good. And there's the rub. Unlike a lot of stainless cookware, these are very shiny. If you like that, you'll be satisfied, but you should bear in mind that the finish is fragile. It's easy to scratch and easy to discolor. We use the steamer every day and on one occasion I accidentally boiled it dry. I took the pot off the heat very quickly, but the result was a faint gold tint on the outside that cannot be removed. I don't really mind the color change, but it worries me.
I've used the frying pan a couple of times to make eggs and here again the shine isn't necessarily a good thing. Butter actually beads up on the surface as it melts and you have to use an awful lot if you want it to cover the bottom of the pan.
The instructions warn you many times not to use steel wool for cleaning. So far, we've been okay with a plastic scrubber pad, and, especially after a soaking, things clean up easily. But the fact that I've been warned not to use the most obvious cleaning method is worrisome.
Pot handles do indeed stay cool. The lids, however, can get very hot. Also, the edges of the lids face up and out. This is common now, but my older pans had lids that that were turned into the pan. The outward-facing design guarantees that condensation will form on the underside of the lids, and will drip pretty badly when you first remove them from a boiling pot. One good feature of the lid handles is that you can hang them on a pot rack.
Finally, the steamer has several extra ridges around the bottom and vegetables inevitably stick to those areas. Again, a soaking is necessary to get them clean.
All in all, a useful, sturdy set, well made, and a good value -- but with the caveat that the shine might not be what you want.
Dissapointed by quality - Not like my other Cuisinart2
I purchased this set a year ago. I already had the 12 inch skillet, the 5 qt. saute pan and a 2 qt. saucepan, which I LOVE and use on a regular basis. I expected this set to be the same quality as these other Chef's Classic pans that I had purchased individually, but the pans in this set just don't measure up.
The first thing I noticed is that these pans are lighter weight. The 3 qt. saucepan from this set is much lighter than the 2 qt. saucepan I already had. This would be okay, except that food tends to stick more easily to the 3 qt. I think the botton of the pans in this set must be thinner than my other Chef's Classic. Also, these pan do spot more- I use Barkeepers Friend for all my Cuisinart, but I find the pans in this set discolor every time I use them, which is annoying.
My biggest beef is with the pasta insert. I chose this particular set because it included the pasta insert, but the pan is not just useless - it is a menace. The holes are way to small, and the water drains out very slowly. The first time I used it, boiling water flooded over the top and splashed over the stove and onto the floor when I lifted the insert out of the pot. I've tried using less water, lifting the pasta insert slowly, etc. and it still splashes whenever I use it. Today I purchased a Faberware 8 qt. pasta insert- it has much larger holes and when I tried it tonight I couldn't make it splash even when I practically jerked it out of the pot.
Compared to other cookware the quality of this set is decent, but my other Chef's Classic is so much better quality that this set mostly sits in the cabinet. If you want to buy a set, go with the 10 or 12 piece set. You'll save some money and you can use it to buy a pasta pot you can actually use.
Excellent Cookware Set!5
I am no chef but I do love to cook, and I purchased this set for myself after moving cross-country and giving away an old set of Farberware stainless. I have been using these for the last month and a half and I couldn't be more pleased. I absolutely love them!
They heat evenly and the handles do, indeed, stay cool. The pots clean up beautifully. There has been some minor discoloration on the frying pans but that's to be expected, I think, given their purpose. But the saucepans and stockpot come out of the dishwasher looking as pristine as when I took them out of the box! They are SO pretty... Lastly, these pots and pans are not too heavy, which was sa concern for me. I'd tried out other pots and pans (like the Emerilware) at department stores and found them extremely heavy to lift; the Cuisinart Chef's Classic are the perfect weight for me.
You do have to be careful about keeping the heat lower, though, or things do burn. The other thing I've found is that, while the handles on the pots and pans stay cool, the handles on the lids do not...just be careful when lifting the lids!
Although I think it'd be nice if the 14-piece set included a 2-quart saucepan too, but otherwise it comes with everything you need to cook a big or small meal. There are smaller sets, though, for those who aren't ready to take the plunge.
I heartily recommend this set.

Amazon.com Review
Nonstick inside and out for easy cleaning, this 10-piece cookware set outfits a kitchen with the basics while permitting healthful, low-fat cooking. The set consists of a 7-1/2-inch sauté pan, a 9-1/4-inch sauté pan, a 10-3/4-inch sauté pan, a 1-quart saucepan with lid, a 2-quart saucepan with lid, a steamer, and a covered 5-1/3-quart Dutch oven that doubles as a pot for cooking pasta, simmering stock, or making soup. Lids are domed, made of glass, and have knobs that adjust to vent steam for controlled cooking. Ergonomic handles made of tough plastic stay cool on the stovetop and are oven-safe to 350 degrees F. They're welded, with no inside rivets to trap food, and have hanging holes. Though inexpensive, the cookware is handsome and stylish, with charcoal gray exteriors and charcoal black interiors. Bottoms resist warping for uniform heating without hot spots. Inside the Dutch oven and pans' bottoms are T-Fal Thermospots that turn solid red when the pan is properly preheated. This cookware carries a lifetime warranty against defects, excluding dishwasher damage. --Fred Brack
